Known issues

Kindle (Mobi/KF8 build type)

Device Issue
Paperwhite Image linking (forward/back between body and figures) does not work on a single tap. The image in the body text must be held until the user is prompted to enlarge the image or navigate to the figures section. This behavior does not affect normal image figure linking.
Paperwhite Page breaks before and after are not respected for inline figures that are embedded within a dialogue directive. This likely has to do with how Calibre inserts page breaks into the document and may be fixed in the future.
Paperwhite Footnotes appear twice in the pop-up that is triggered when clicking on the reference.
Paperwhite Footnotes have a back-link in the pop-up. This can be removed during build, but is present as a fallback for older Kindle versions that do not support the pop-up footnote behavior.
Paperwhite Paragraphs in footnotes are indented. This may be possible to resolve by removing the p tags in the list elements, but would require hacking into the Markdown parser. This may be fixed in the future.

Google Play (EPUB build type)

Device Issue
iOS, Desktop Audio and video do not render and fallbacks are not displayed to the user. In addition, opening web inspector shows that the A/V elements are stripped entirely from the project. In 2018, Google Play support has confirmed that this will not be fixed.

Apple Books app (EPUB build type)

Device Issue
macOS Outbound links do not function in footnote pop-up windows. Links are highlighted but do not respond to click events.
