Great work 🙌 @anthonyshew. I have one question. Do we need to define every component in exports config similar to what you did in your PR? |

We recommend this because of a TypeScript limitation. If you do: the exports will still resolve but you lose auto-importing suggestions. Up to you which side of the tradeoff you prefer! The big idea is that you need to start splitting up the package so that tree-shaking isn't as heavy. So what's in the PR or what I've written above here become the sensible options. |

Description
As @lorcan-codes pointed out in #7529, the
design-systemexample could quickly run into performance issues. This was because we were using a barrel file.I've swapped the
mainfield./packages/ui/package.jsonfor anexportsfield that allows for creating individual entrypoints for the package to remove this class of issue.Testing Instructions
I verified that
turbo build && cd apps/docs && pnpm preview-storybookruns correctly. Additionally, I made sure thatturbo devworks and that edits to both theButtoncomponent itself and the story for it show hot-reloaded changes.Happy to have someone else check me!
