Development

Getting Started

Install the dependencies

$ npm install

Build the typescript and package it for distribution after completing your updates

$ npm run build && npm run package

Run the tests ✔️

$ npm test

Publishing

Actions are run from GitHub repos so check in the packed dist folder after development of version X is complete.

Then run ncc and push the results:

$ npm run build
$ npm run package
$ git checkout -b releases/vX
$ git add dist
$ git commit -a -m "Updates for vX"
$ git push origin releases/vX

Your action is now published! 🚀

See the versioning documentation

Validate

You can now validate the action by referencing ./ in a workflow in your repo (see test.yml)

uses: ./
with:
  openai_api_key: test

See the actions tab for runs of this action! 🚀

Versioning

After testing you can create a version tag to reference the stable and latest version of your action
