note: it seems that prometheus does not like Go 1.20 anymore. Lets bump our supported version to 1.21 and 1.22 (current supported versions) and add note that we suggest using supported versions. It does not really make sense to support older versions much longer than Go officially does. Probably 2.5 versions is good enough. 0.5 because one month or two after latest version changes the "third" version is necessary as not all OS package manager may not have latest versions etc. and it gives people little bit more time to upgrade but eventually you need to upgrade.
