I already fixed it by changing the
pnpm
store location. But I'm still curious what could have caused this. I guess the folder gets processed in any way. As the folder contains a lot of folders and files Vite somehow got very slow. The environment:
Win -> VSCode inside Dev Container (via Extension) -> WSL -> Docker
I had to use server
usePolling: true
and ignored".pnpm-store/"
but that wasn't causing the slow Vite reload times. I just couldn't find out which stage of Vite processes(?) all these files and how to tell Vite to ignore them alltogether. Might be interessting to know if for what reason it's unavoidable to have a lot of files in the app directory which aren't relevant for Vite, but still slowing down everthing.Beta Was this translation helpful?
