upspin-ui: No way to change email? #595
Comments
No harm done and no need for a complete reinstall. Delete upspin/config
and .ssh/RandomGuy*/, then use the "upspin signup" command to restart the
user creation process. https://godoc.org/upspin.io/cmd/upspin
Or remove everything and reinstall the client, if that's easier.
The important thing is once you do complete the email verification process,
be sure to securely save the recovery seed. I recommend writing it paper
and putting that someplace safe with your other important long-term records.

Rookie mistake, I noticed it immediately. Unfortunately, there's no way
short of reinstalling the client in order to correct this mistake. I think
a button should be added in the verification process to let you change
which email you want to verify, as this could be a real problem for a lot
of users as this project gets even bigger.
Additional details following the CONTRIBUTING guidelines:
upspin.windows_amd64 build, build time 27 Jun 18 at 01:15 UTC, unzipped to
C:\Program Files\Upspin and added to the system PATH
Windows 10 Home x64, Intel Celeron N2830 @ 2.16GHz, 4GB RAM
I accidentally typed my email wrong and couldn't change it.
I expected to see a way to change the email I put in.
I couldn't change my entered email.

Thank you! It'd still be nice for a full prompt, but now I can start using it. |

Update: Reinstalling couldn't fix my issue either.
