Alternatively, using the alternative software Dendrite as a Matrix server option could work, since I've heard it is a bit more lightweight and easier to maintain - even if it's still in active development and lacks some synapse features.

Old charts are considered removed for a reason and are considered cleanly new additions.
References to specific features are up to maintainers and the creator to cordon-off.
