Just curious, when the JDBC driver is updated, what are the reasons to not use the latest version, with all the latest fixes? (which as of now is 42.7.3)

In the interests of stability, we try to avoid upgrading to newer minor versions of dependencies in maintenance releases of Spring Boot. Spring Boot 3.3 will upgrade to the latest version.
