It is unfortunate to add two extra slots to a common type (and I guess this is why it was rejected in the original PR), but all other alternatives I tried are hacky and/or dangerous. It is unfortunate to add two extra slots to a common type (and I guess this is why it was rejected in the original PR), but all other alternatives I tried are hacky and/or dangerous.
