Semgrep has some support for finding Python dependencies (looks like it's currently limited to Pipfile.lock and can't perform resolution): https://semgrep.dev/docs/experiments/r2c-internal-project-depends-on/#findings-of-r2c-internal-project-depends-on

We should investigate whether using Semgrep would be potentially useful/possible here, possibly as part of #85 if we plan to support that.
