A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'VivaConnectionsDefaultStart'

I may be missing something simple here but I am not able to update the parameter VivaConnectionsDefaultStart. Here are the details on my envrionment:

PowerShell Version - 5.1.19041.2364

Commands I have succesfully ran:

Install-Module PnP.PowerShell -Scope CurrentUser -Force

and

npm install -g @pnp/cli-microsoft365

When I try to run the Set-SPOHomeSite command below, the parameter is not found. What do I need to do to properly get the latest version?

Set-SPOHomeSite -HomeSiteUrl https://mysiteurl -VivaConnectionsDefaultStart $true

Hi @Sephiroth0327,

If you've installed PnP.Powershell, you'll need to use the PnP commandlet Set-PnPHomeSite.
Instead of Set-SpoHomeSite. That last one one is coming from an older version of SharePoint Online Powershell that's probably still installed on your system.

The CLI for Microsoft 365 currently does not yet support this parameter, although it will sometime soon: #4480

Thank you for the reply though now I just get this error:

Let me back up and explain what I'm trying to do. I have SharePoint Online and defined a Home Site in SPO. I've added Viva Connections in Teams and it is defaulting to the Viva Dashboard but I want to default to the site immediately. My understanding is I can change this via PowerShell. Let me know if I am missing a step.

I got exactly the same error. Tried to uninstall and reinstall SharePoint Online Management shell but I still get the same issue.

Using PnP.Powershell I got the error: Set-PnPHomeSite: Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object.

My site is already set as home site using GUI.

Hi, we can't really help you with this because this repository is for CLI for Microsoft 365. I suggest you create an issue in the repo of PnP.PowerShell to address this issue.
You could use try and use CLI for Microsoft 365 m365 spo homesite set --siteUrl https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/comms --vivaConnectionsDefaultStart true to set this parameter.
