Noticed when reviewing https://github.com/inducer/grudge/pull/196/files#diff-b803fcb7f17ed9235f1e5cb1fcd2f5d3b2838429d4368ae4c57ce4436577f03f:

We should have a way of automatically figuring out which examples need to be tested in what modes, to avoid having to list them manually.

Could possibly adapt the example runner script (run_examples.sh) from illinois-ceesd/mirgecom#536 which looks at the example's help string to figure out how to run.
