Hello. There was a problem with launching google authenticator on iPhone 7 (watch or download the video at the link: https://yadi.sk/i/Q8L2CTZJKSYqgg. They tried to restore from a copy of icloud or by transferring data to a new iPhone XR - to no avail. The data remains in the iPhone storage (see screenshot. https://yadi.sk/i/BapoAW00Zg19KQ
Is it possible to regain access or launch google authenticator?

Have you tried rebooting the phone to see if it helps?

The google authenticator version is the latest. ios 13.3.1. What I did:

  1. Rebooted the phone ("lower volume button" + "power button")
  2. I called tech support apple. They connected, they could not help.
3 Tried to restore copies from icloud and "copy" phones.

How to understand why it crashes?

Same with me. On iPhone Xs, IOS 14.2 :( I can't work without it.

Same... XR on current IOS beta, and last release (14.1)

Same here, iOS 14.2 (official release, non-beta). Rebooting does not help. It seems the app is incompatible with 14.2 as there are even more users complaining in the App Store recently.

Offloading and reloading the app fixed it for me (it started happening after iPhone software update).

Go to Settings / General / iPhone Storage / Google Authenticator / Offload App, then Reinstall App.

See #713

So #713 is a dup of this one?

@ThomasHabets Well that one's title is iOS14.2, this one's is iPhone7, but that is just the point of view of the reporter. For the general FAQ "Google Authenticator just shows splash and disappears (probably after iOS upgrade)", they are the same. Maybe @romanbashinsky 's problem is more severe since Apple Support did not manage to help.
