Cisco ASA looks to inherit for its Terms from Cisco but not the main class. This means that it has not yet implemented object-groups or other features that are included in Cisco.
This may be a bit to untangle. In general ASA should support most of the things that are supported in the normal Cisco. Our documentation also only specified that cisco asa has an option for filter_name which I don't believe is true. It does at least allow enable_dsmo.
We recently were permitted access to cisco images ASA being one of them specifically. This might be a good first candidate to build out our VM integration testing framework we talked about @jtwb
